| New Delhi: The Indian Railways have decided to do away with the look that has been their signature for ages. It has been decided that it would be changing to lively colours from the white that has characterised the high-powered engines.
The WAP 7 locomotive that is regarded among the state-of-the-art ones in India is coloured entirely in white with only the margin at the bottom being red in colour. However, it would be given a makeover as well.
Railways officials have stated that its look would be changed and it would be covered with vinyl wrappings in order to match them with the colour patterns of the Duranto trains.
Five WAP 7 engines that are used for hauling the Duranto trains will be sporting new looks. As of now, these locomotives are at the shed meant for electric locomotives in Ghaziabad. |
