| Kolkata, Aug 18: With India eagerly waiting for the advent of 3G services, the mobile phone users may look forward to a steep rise in the number of Internet Telephony Service Providers.
According to a top official of a VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) company, the roll-out of 3G services will see a major reduction in International Long Distance call rates owing to the mobile VOIP service.
The official also stated that the coming of 3G service will enable the subscribers to opt for VOIP calls rather than making high cost ILD calls. VOIP calls are likely to be as one-eighth of the cost.
In order to make affordable ILD calls over mobile VOIP, the mobile phone users need to download the 100 kb application iTel mobile dialer. This application has been developed by Reve Systems, a pioneer in VOIP based in Singapore. |
