| New Delhi, Apr 28: The Indian Railways have finally decided to act on the complaints lodged by passengers regarding the offensive behavior of railway station porters. For the very first time, the authorities have decided to counsel the porters to mend their foul behavior and eradicate rudeness.
The Ministry of Railways directed the station masters and superintendents of all the zones to counsel their licensed porters. Under this program porters will also be coached to follow a basic code of conduct and behavioral practices.
The misconduct of station porters with passengers have increased stupendously. A counseling program on behavior management will perhaps be an effective solution for this. |
