New Delhi: After a sheer disappointment with Vista, Microsoft Corp has come up with another novel product from its stock as it launched Windows 7 today. Being the world's largest software company, Microsoft Corp aims to win back the customers with their new operating system.

Besides being faster, Windows 7 works on a simple premise making it less cluttered. Creating a landmark in the history of operating system, Microsoft proudly declares that their new product is a more upgraded version of the older operating systems.

Microsoft will charge Rs. 9,325 for the Home Premium version of Windows 7 and Rs. 5,595 for the user who want to upgrade the older versions of the operating system. The charge is well below Vista's charge.

While announcing the Windows 7 launch, Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman - Microsoft India asserted, that feedback with partners and consumers helped in the development of Windows 7. He further added that consumers' contribution has helped in delivering the highest quality Operating system in the history of Windows.

The new system has new touch-screen features and hopefully its simple operational mechanism will help restore the company's reputation as an important software firm.
