Packed with features and interesting functionality, Delhi based Compare Infobase (CIL) has launched recently a photoshare application for Twitter called TwitSnaps. "TwitSnaps is a photoshare application with a difference and a thought leader in twitter photoshare space," says Simarprit Singh, Founder-CEO of CIL "We aim to make it the market leader."

While posting scraps on Orkut is becoming a passé in India, Twitter and Facebook are fast becoming the latest fads. Twitter is witnessing a significant growth in terms of acquiring users from India thanks to a host of amazing ecosystem of applications surrounding it. "From finding like-minded people to sharing photos and tracking trending stories, Twitter applications make life easier for the Twitter users or tweeple, as they are called in twitterverse, and are potential source of revenue for the developers. To capitalise on this opportunity, CIL has launched TwitSnaps.com for photoblogging," said Simarprit.

On being queried why he considered TwitSnaps to be the 'thought leader', Simarprit pointed out features like watermark, rotate and save, magnify, filter and crop, to justify his claim. "No other photoshare application currently on Twitter offers these elaborate features and functionality." On asking how TwitSnaps would be able to emerge as the favourite photoshare application on Twitter, when tools such as Twitpic recently claimed to have crossed the 2 million users mark, the response from Simarprit was emphatic: "It's all about getting the word around, on 'why TwitSnaps is better'. Once people begin to compare TwitSnaps with other photoshare applications, they'll realise we are better on many counts, including responsiveness to comments and user feedback."

"We are also looking at interesting tie-ups within the US market which will surely help us compete and win against other established players, " told Simarprit, however he refused to divulge more details about the tie-ups saying they were in various stages of discussion.

CIL is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company with an array of successfully incubated web projects in its kitty, such as HeadlinesIndia.com, MapsofWorld.com, MapsofIndia.com and IndiaEdu.com, to name but a few.
