Mumbai: Engineering and construction major Hindustan Construction Co (HCC) today said its net profit for the quarter ended on Sep 30 fell 72.3 percent to Rs.5.51 crore from Rs.19.94 crore in the like period last fiscal.

The net profit figures were, however, not comparable with the previous period as the company had booked a one-time loss on the sale of capital assets during the second quarter, HCC said in a regulatory statement.
