New Delhi, July 29: Private airlines owe Rs.304.65 crore to the state-run Airports Authority of India (AAI) as on 30 June, 2010, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel said in the Lok Sabha today.

"Airports Authority of India (AAI) is in constant touch with the airlines for realization of the dues," Patel said.

Kingfisher Airlines owes the maximum Rs.184.87 crore, followed by Jet Airways (Rs.36.33 crore), Jet Lite (Rs.14.66 crore) and Indigo (Rs.11.19 crore).

"Whenever any private airline defaults in making payments, notice for operation on "cash and carry" basis is issued besides recovery of dues from security deposit and other related action," Patel said. (IANS)
