Pune bakery blast case: 2 arrested, LeT literature recovered |

| Pune, Sep 8: In a major crackdown of Pune German Bakery Blast case that shook the entire India on 13th Feb, 2010, the Maharashtra anti-terrorist squad arrested two in connection with the case.
Bilai Ansari was arrested from Pune while Himayat Baig was held at Nasik. Baig is suspected to have close association with Indian Mujahideen. They will be produced to the court today and further probe will be conducted thereafter.
While confirming the arrest of these two suspected mastermind behind the terror attack, Maharashtra ATS chief Rakesh Maria asserted that Pune blast conspiracy was hatched in January 2010 with Baig conducting recce of German Bakery on 31 January 2010.
Explaining how the bomb planted in German bakery at 4:30pm on 13th Feb, Maria added that Baig was responsible for creating LeT Module in Maharashtra. 2kg of RDX and LeT literature have been seized from the duo. |
