New Delhi: Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram has extended an invitation to all the eight political parties that are regarded as 'recognised' in Andhra Pradesh. The meeting has been summoned in order to come at a solution regarding the issue of Telangana. The meeting, to be held at New Delhi, is slated for 5th January 2010.

The Telangana Joint Action has expressed that the agenda of the meeting needs to be made public. B Vinod, a Telangana Rashtra Samiti, has told the media that the agenda would be of utmost importance.

In the meanwhile the students, at the Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad, who had been fasting for a separate Telangana, have broken it after TRS leader K Chandrasekhar Rao came to meet them.

Previously, the students at the Osmania University had been asking the central government to provide a clear statement regarding the formation of the state and come out with a timeline in this regard. They have stated, like KCR, that announcing a committee in this regard would be insufficient.
