| Thiruvanhapuram, Sep 9: Controversial Inspector General of Kerala Police Tomin Thachankary has been cornered by the National Investigation Agency after the letter exposing his alleged link with the terrorists came in the forefront.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has now asked the Kerala top police officer to come up with an explanation for his visit to Qatar. Kerala government has categorically mentioned that Tomin had made several trips abroad without government's consent. He never informed the government before going to Doha and Qatar
NIA has recorded the statement of Indian ambassador to Doha and it also has the letter that exposes the actions of Kerala top cop
Tomin's alleged link with LeT had been one of the serious issues that have been bothering the state government. It is suspected that Tomin had met terror suspects in Qatar.
An FIR has also been lodged against him for amassing wealth to the tune of Rs 90 lakh. |
